Singapore went thru our next wave of Covid19 infections. Our of nowhere,  asymptomatic and infected cases appeared from Changi Airport, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and spreading like wildfire in the east. Children gotten infected at schools.  Our government made a swift decision to restrict social gathering to 2. No dine in.  PHASE 2 (Heightened Alert) kicked in 16 May till 13 Jun 2021. Home based learning became another reality on 19 May.  I kind of quite like this Circuit Breaker 1.5.  Not going back office though I am more busy then back in office. However, I gotten time to at least workout every morning.  The only thing I missed is... hmm, maybe meals with frens and families. But I can live with it. Welcome to new normal or have we already set in.  Don't expect covid19 to be eradicated. Get vaccinated and treat it like a flu soon. 

Singapore Election 2020 came at a challenging time (Phase 2). We are still in the midst of controlling pandemic (Covid19) and yet Election is 'push forward' in these trying times.  The election results are predictable on who's can form govt. nothing has changed for our election 2020, or is it?  The same PAP won with Super Majority (83 seats), WP with 10 seats. 61% win in votes for PAP vs opposition parties. We know this is inevitable and we know PAP will form the government. Is this our mandate to PAP as LHL mentioned? or wake-up call for PAP?  WP's results in this election is commendable. Most of the constitutions that they contested on is at least 40% winning votes.  I have nothing against PAP, except the high handed way of changing 'rules'.  e.g.  1) CPF life: why i should let you handle my money? i think i can do better with my own money. i should decide how i want to use it, not the govt. First day of 'release' from SG CB.  Nothing much has changed, except for kids going to schools.  And the fan replacement on my laptop can finally be done... run some errands for full mask on...  so getting used to mask... I don't feel safe without it outside my doorsteps. I still don't think it is safe in Phase 1... but lots are treating as outing.  Let's hope Phase 1 move out real soon to Phase 2 where we can dine out in small groups... (figures infected start to zero). But do we really need to dine out? Has eating at home become the NEW NORMAL?  Do we still need to socialise physically?  Welcome to the NEW FUTURE!  Mentality, mindset, thoughts has certainly changed from this pandemic (covid-19). We appreciate the nature better, skies are clearer and more vibrant, butterflies are roaming freely, weeds & grass growing wildly but definitely beautiful to sight.  Singapore, the Garden City is in full blossom now.
