drawing of a landmark in Singapore

Image
when my girl drew this picture on the mini Doodle....i have no idea what is that, make a guess...a landmark of Singapore. she loves drawing, sometimes i can't make sense out of those colourful pictures but she can find a way to explain them ... PICASSO or DA Vinci, hmm.

home sweet home....

finally back at my home after staying at my in-law for 2 months. i was back last Sunday...very hasty decision by my wife. Zhirui's first overnight at her own home that day... i think she is still trying to get used to the new room since she had been crying at night everyday...but thank goodness, she is doing well after that hospitalisation... Being at home is really great... you have control on what and when you want to do things. the downside? i have to wash clothes, mop floor, do housework since my in-laws take care of them during our stay... REALLY millions and millions of thanks to my in-laws for all the care and the great food... the tonic soup was fantastic., i can really take ginseng chicken, bak kut teh, black chicken soup all day and night and not feeling 'heaty' and bored....one word: BAGUS!

a week of happenings!

last week was a memorable one for me. Monday: grandma was admitted back to SGH (from AMKH)... she was totally weak, always in a daze mode... somehow or rather, she is well at SGH... heard from my aunt that she was telling the next bed's patient (while at AMK Hospital) to call her MUM! that was bad but everything is fine now. Wednesday: i hit 130K mileage for my Peugeot...while travelling back from Mount Alvernia...why Alvernia? my 2nd girl (only 6 weeks) was admitted due to some strong virus or infection...'chesty' coughing and having bad flu...that took my wife and i 3 sleepness nights...she is now home...recovering...next review with doc will be tomorrow... why her? (Picture: She was in this box that supply warm oxygen to help in the discomfort of the phlegm) Sunday: my sis' girl, Yiling was in the semi-finals of a local program from Ch8 (wonder baby), filming live at VivoCity...she was good and fun, a natural born in front of the camera... laughing and so KAWAI! i

no money for Windows? use Ubuntu

i happen to come across this OS while reading CNET new, Ubuntu .... it is a Linux variant OS...but hack.... Ubuntu is like Windows OS now... graphical interface, comes with OpenOffice (like Windows Office with less features), Firefox (like Internet Explorer and better), some email software (like Outlook)... the graphical interface like Mac but you can download Kubuntu (like Windows interface)....i have yet to really play with it but all these are FREE (for now)! and they (Ubuntu community) aim to make this free for as long.... KUDOS. even Dell (only US) is adopting it.... see this this OS is especially good if you have very old PC or laptop that have problems running Windows (resource hungry) OS. :P
