What a new year for this month...

Jan 13 is my 8th wedding anniversary and we had tea with my wife's fren at Equinox. food, so-so but good place for gathering. I had lunch with my wife and girl at Augus House the next day, worth a try but portion might not be enuff for some. my car gave me another headache last week, tyre punctured...worst still, the spanner used to loosen the nuts was broken after a few tries.... damn unlucky...got new tyres for 150/pair...paid for repair tyres personnel. last Sunday my wife's grandma just pass away... what a month!

milestone in driving!

yesterday marks a milestone in my life for driving 120,000km in my fav Peugeot 206...almost 4 years (27 Jan 07 is the fourth year). average 30,000km per year...that equates to 82.19km per day...judging by 11km per litre...that is 7 to 8 litres per day...1litre is SGD1.50... i am spending at least SGD11.25 per day! expensive...but not much choice... a car is a real liability...i thot my house is the killer...luckily my petrol is paid by company... *phew*

Friendster's blog...crap

Friendster especially mine is great! but the blog sucks... i have been trying to comment on my fren's blog ( Elynn )...crappy...need to sign in....then i signed in...and it shows error that the page cannot be found.... not wonder there is no comment.... luckily i am still using blogger... commenting to Elynn on " Clingy TY and his First Word ": " too bad lah, you must be ill-treating him else he wont prefers Auntie...FYI, at 10 months, you can teach them flash cards, they will know colours and alphabets. Ziyi started like 3 months (now she like books, hehe)... don't worry that they don't know... but they remember..."

Singapore motorists - really one of the kind

i was driving back today...a BMW was in front of me, travelling on the right most lane of a road (not highway) at 40 to 50kmh... the first notion that hits me, a lady driver... turning round the corner to overtake the driver... BINGO! a lady. i also like to dream of the driver behind the wheel, what they are doing... there is a trend after 9 years of driving (not long thought)... especially in highway, a car travelling around 60 to 70kmh in the middle lane (no other vehicle in front of it): 1) he is SMSing or talking over the mobile phone. 2) she is driving. 3) an old person is behind that wheel. 4) 'P' plate driver or weekend plate driver (aka maybe new driver). 5) he/she is busy chatting with the passenger. i am option 1... i know its dangerous but sometimes...forgive me... there is crazy scene that i ever saw on a Mercs driver... he was definitely cruising on Singapore highway (singapore plate car), he had one of his leg on his seat, maybe digging on his toes...Whoa!...fanta

Silence means consent....

in most people's opinion, silence means consent.... in my view, it depends on the party you talked to... if it is a kid, silence is consent - no doubt.... they can't lie until umphh...secondary level. if it is a business discussion, silence is the end of conversation... arguments... discussions... if it is between frens or partners, silence is simply not interested. the important thing to know is why is there silence...that's for you to ask, for me to know.
