(photo taken straight from the 'oven') (photo taken same day at 7pm) (photo taken on 28 Mar 07) (both girls in action! though one is still in dreamland) (young one in dreamland with happy elder sister) i did not bring any camera (3.2MP and above) to take my baby...so these are the best from my VGA phone. photo downloads are subjected to approval from their respective parents (highly confidential).

life is really unpredictable...but i like it!

the moment after i finished with "congrats now before this post is flooded!" my second girl could not wait for the next day. my wife was having contraction ...like 12.10am 27Mar07! with a quick change, taking all the barang barang....whizzz, zoom, vroom to Mount Alvernia. everything happened so fast! no time to take a breather... 12.40am we are at hospital...she was pushed to the delivery suite immediately while i rushed back to park my car (i parked in ambulance lot...hahaha), doing a quick registration. 1.05am my wife was given the all "powerful antidote" EPIDURAL by Dr Kelvin (not me, another Dr by this name)...the pain must be killing (only mums know, we will never understand)...but the jab solved all pain. while we were waiting for Dr Kel, i think my wife fainted/blacked out twice (from this don't-know-what-type-of-gas mask), fortunately, she got her senses back... the rest is history....90mins of pushing and breathing, the mum won (with assistance from Dr

congrats now before this post is flooded!

my second baby girl should be out today (anytime in the afternoon) by the time this post is made. i am no GOD or BUDDHA to predict this. rather, my wife and i were at the gynae yesterday and he said we can go anytime. 8am we will be setting off for Mt Alvernia. given max 7 hours of labour... by 3pm, my girl will be seeing this world, breathing the much-waited oxygen, seeing and hearing the dad, mum, elder sis, etc... my second one and i am still so excited... wait for my SMS and 4D numbers...CIAO! If i do not SMS or call you, i am too busy. gimme a ring!

the longest week in my life....

Image
this should be my longest week since NSF.... (a photo from Chinese New Year 2007) my adorable girl was sick since last Friday, high fever (record 39.4deg celsius)...i had to 'play nurse' every 3 hours (giving her the famous Progesic and Bifen)...luckily my boss was in Australia...i reached office almost 10 everyday... looking listless. but hell, work still had to be covered... i had to really thank my in-laws for taking care of my girl during this week (my family was staying there on weekdays)... as the saying goes "a house with an elder, is like having a treasure"... well said, well said. (another photo taken during CNY 2007: my girl in the centre; on the right is the cousin, Sebes; the left, Seles - chubby girl) the tiring thing was not high fever though...on Monday she kanna (caught) flu and running nose from her cousin, that night, she vomitted and it was so bad that red spots appeared around her eyes...we had to see her 'regular' Dr Lee from Kinder Clinic

food, glorious, food (part 4)...what service!

i am not particular about food....i will try to finish so-so standard of food (i don't believe in wastage). this time round, i am touching on these 3 food places to avoid. mainly becos of service, this is so important if you are in the retail line and yet, often ppl always think that good food is KING! my foot! 1) East Coast Lagoon Fish Ball noodle stall: i simply ask for $4 dry noodle, fishball to repack as another pack with soup. this lady said we don't do that. what's the rationale? i even offered to pay for the plastic bowl but was simply turn away... crap... 2) this restaurant owned by Swensen's at VivoCity, their concept is similar to Sizzler... but one of the staff is either having a hearing problem or simply not attentive. we asked for one bowl of plain rice, he brought two. when we said that we asked for one, he said he heard two and does not offer to take back or said that it is his mistake. the main point is WE asked for one, HE (one person) said he heard two

gone.... in less than 7 seconds

no, this is not your usual free oyster buffett. it is from zero to 100km/h for a car...it's not Ferrari or Lambor or Porsche or other sports car. ..... but a simple YRV... first time in my life, i get to this heart-thumping, adrenalin, jaw-cannot-closed, near-to-Buddha experience....i still remember vividly even though this is the fourth day. i am not sure what my fren did to his car...you basically 'fly'....you can feel the 'force' that pulled you to the seat when the car is zoomin'...psst, i am not driving... i tried earlier on, a slight touch can go to 80km/h in no time... this is exhilarating....i will get a 'Prancing Horse' and stick on his YRV. oh, we tested Swift Manual, great car to own, good handling, quite powerful for a small car, gear 2 you can really drag like no business...if not for the small cabin and boot space, i would have gotten this long time. 206, i felt that the lag in your power after YRV and Swift test drive...207 or SX4 next???
