I lost my phone and wallet

That's my dream yesterday. A dream that I seldom had for a while.  I was with a fren (Forgotten who). We seem to be travelling in certain city and it was for a long while before I realised that my phone and wallet was not with me. If we were to backtrack, it's definitely going to take a long while. Nothing that I remembered after.  A quick check on dream interpretation on the loss.  " Dream about Losing Phone And Wallet states your emotional health and your ability to bounce back from adversity. Sometimes you need to take a break and reconnect with loved ones. You will have problems and issues from those beneath you or dependent upon you. Your dream indicates your desires to conform and fit in. There is something that you want to broadcast to the whole world. Sometimes, dream about losing phone and wallet is unfortunately a warning for loneliness and loss. You are not doing the things that you really want to do. You are trying to work through a difficult time. Your dream ...

Risk and Luck, you cannot avoid.

Lesson 2 of The Psychology of Money. "Risk" and "Luck", these 2 elements are part of our lives.  You can have all the dreams you want but without that touch of luck, your dreams will forever be dreams.  Your dreams could be achieved, but without the elimination of risk, they will never sustain. Some risks can be mitigated, some risks can be avoided but accidents or disasters can never.  We might not enjoy the fruits of our dreams without both luck and risk elements.  What can we do?  View it from a positive note. Pursue that dream. Set that timeline. If it didn't pay off, steer off to the next plan. You never knew which dream contains that luck and risk-free elements. :) You can call me a dreamer, but at least I have something to look forward to.

What's next after retirement?

I have been contemplating to quit my day job and in search of a less stressful job.  Many of us worked to pay off debts (which we should not accumulate) or struggle to make ends meet.  But have you ever wondered: What's next after you paid off that debt?  What's next after your kids grew up?  What's next after you accumulated enough retirement fund?  What's next when you reached retirement age?  My parents taught me that working is a way of life to bring up our kids and pay that car / house. Hard work will pay off.  I am not taught of investing for passive income. I am not taught that we can don't work if needed. Even with passive income, we always felt that we need to work cos that's the only way that we felt that we are useful to society.  Does society care for you?  How much is enough for you to stop work?  Is working the only way of life?  In most cases, when we don't work, we save a lot of unnecessary expenses. I bet you can ev...

A new chapter is beginning ....

28 April 2017 will forever be my memorable day. It marked the end of my career with iEcoSystems Pte Ltd (the company that I have worked since its birth). This is the place where my boss and I have a common dream. To make it big enough for sale and pursue our own interests thereafter. I still remember the early years that both of us slogged through day and night trying to get as many customers as we can. Doing sales, pre-sales, tech and support relentlessly. Things changed and our vision drifted even though we started having more people in the company. It's a great pleasure working in this company and with the people where I learnt and took charge of many aspects of the businesses. Leaving this company took part of me with it. The sadness that arose was similar when I was informed of my mum's passing. I teared for a short while cos it doesn't have to be this ending. Life still goes on. But taking up a job or working for myself is never going be the same. PS: all ...
