This blog is directly aimed at the individual who recorded and shared the distressing video of a rescue team attempting to remove a deceased woman who was hung outside her HDB flat.

I am profoundly disturbed and infuriated that this video was circulated and forwarded within my Whatsapp group.

The video documented a tragic incident where a woman had taken her own life, and the rescue team was bravely attempting to retrieve her body. The situation was uniquely challenging, given that the woman had hung herself outside her HDB block (it's not ground level). I couldn't bring myself to finish watching the video but made it clear to my group that forwarding it was inappropriate (the video displayed "forwarded many times").

The real story has been covered in detail by Mothership.sg a few days ago, and the video was circulated prior to the official news release, or possibly around the same time.

As I drove to work over the past few days, the haunting image of the woman and the rescue team persisted in my mind. 

I am still struggling to comprehend your motives for recording and sharing such a distressing video.

Was it for bragging rights? Or to boost your TikTok ratings?

What purpose did it serve for you to forward/share this video? 

Did you witness her death but posting the rescue effort only? 

If you witnessed the tragic event, sharing the information with the police would have been a more responsible action rather than spreading it through a social platform. By the way, this video serves no legitimate purpose, only trauma to whomever saw it.

I cannot fathom what could compel you to share such graphic and distressing content.

I am left with only a few possible explanations:

1) You instigated her death.

2) You are a social media influencer.

3) You played an indirect role in this tragedy.

4) You sought to gain notoriety.

Have you ever considered the consequences of your actions? The family members of the deceased woman were already grieving when this horrifying event occurred. The least you could have done was to respect their privacy. If your intention was to gain fame or increase your social media ratings, consider posting something genuinely useful instead.
