True leaders are born, not made.

I used to argue that leaders are made not born. I believe with the right learning paths, right mentor, a leader can be made. There is probably some truth on training a person to become a manager and they can be CEO of a company.

But true leadership has nothing to do with the title of your job. True leaders know how to steer the team when crisis arises. He/she will think 2 or more steps of a situation. Prioritizing the safety of everyone, boosting the morale of employees, motivating to increase productivity, being in their shoes every single time, being flexible even when rules need to be broken, etc.

True leader is not necessarily the CEO of big companies (some CEO still CMI). True leader does not need to be highly educated. True leadership requires one to make hard but humane decisions at times.

The late Mr LKY is a true leader, he might not be a visionary but he needs to have the team that shares his vision.

The late Mr Deng, though small in build, is nothing short of great respect from his people.

The interesting character is Mr Donald Trump. Mixed reviews of the way he 'ran' the country during his reign. His hard decisions with China, his 'American dream' for his people, the 'Mexican' wall, etc.

The decisions may sound ridiculous or atrocious at times. But I think he is doing for his people. Hard decisions to swallow for the many but they are for America.

I think I possess leadership quality. at least I have empathy. :)
