What is life / purpose of life?

Little did I realised that my first blog post was on 9 Sep 2005.

When I first decided on this blog is to explore the meaning of soul, mind & life, anything other than work, but I got so distracted and tied up for the past 10 years in work that got me nowhere.

Covid-19 really sets me thinking and recollect my initial intention of exploring the soul:

- What is life?

- What is the purpose of life?

- What purpose do we serve in this life?

- Is there a soul within us?

- How is life created?

- Is there life after death?

- Is there a calling?

- Are we 'killing' Mother Nature?

- Is Covid-19 part of Mother Nature's punishment?

Reflecting upon Year 2020, I really enjoyed it. I had at least pick up my habit of reading back (after years of 'dumping it' since my school days), gone back to meditation for clarity, continue my 'no meat' diet and hopefully, I am back to managing this blog regularly.

I have plans for an early retirement (though I am not like rich) but it is always the lifestyle you tend to achieve. There is nothing much I longed for as I have achieved what I wanted (my target not high up).

The main concern is not about you, me or us. I am really concerned about our destruction to Mother Nature. Humans had been treating Her terribly. We are destroying the ecosystems, polluting it and ultimately planning our next generation or next few generations' extinction.

My intention for no-meat and hopefully vegetarian diet is really based on "Game Changer" (since 24 Nov 2019).

Why do we need to eat domesticated meat? Why do we need to rear them? In order to rear them, we need to clear forests and also to clear land to plant food for these animals (where these plants can already be our food). Domestic animal rearing is clearly a waste of food, animal cruelty, disrupting ecosystem and creating pollution. And all this rearing is just to satisfy a human's hunger.

Think about our ECOSYSTEM deeper. All actions are inter-related. Just as Stephen Hawking is trying to define "The Theory of Everything".

Is Covid-19 a warning? Life is not about work, take some time to think.
