food, glorious, food (part 4)...what service!

i am not particular about food....i will try to finish so-so standard of food (i don't believe in wastage). this time round, i am touching on these 3 food places to avoid. mainly becos of service, this is so important if you are in the retail line and yet, often ppl always think that good food is KING! my foot!

1) East Coast Lagoon Fish Ball noodle stall: i simply ask for $4 dry noodle, fishball to repack as another pack with soup. this lady said we don't do that. what's the rationale? i even offered to pay for the plastic bowl but was simply turn away... crap...

2) this restaurant owned by Swensen's at VivoCity, their concept is similar to Sizzler... but one of the staff is either having a hearing problem or simply not attentive. we asked for one bowl of plain rice, he brought two. when we said that we asked for one, he said he heard two and does not offer to take back or said that it is his mistake. the main point is WE asked for one, HE (one person) said he heard two, i think he happily presumed two. anyway, the food is so-so, might as well go Sizzler.

3) Wong Ah Sai Bak Kut Teh, bak kut is like taking pig stomach's soup, so much white pepper...if you have kids, don't bring them, they can eat peanuts and salty veg only (non-spicy mah).....i suggest the bak kut teh at PSA tower, staff friendly, they have soup base for kids....free and no-asking topping of soup...drink till you drop....even the one at Balestier is better.

for hawker stalls and restaurants, authorities should not just grade at hygiene and fine touting hawkers.....they should look at grading customer service level of these food providers, not for Singaporeans' sake but for global competition and image...
