slept 3 times yesterday night

within 10 hours, i have slept 3 times yesterday. thanks to my girl. she has been coughing...(could be contracted from me)....i slept with her at 10pm (1st) then she woke up to vomit.... cough until vomit, very poor thing. .... around 2.30am (2nd) she woke up again asking for milk, becos everything was out when she vomit. (around 6am) (3rd). i am half conscious now...she seems ok now..... should i get her to the doc again? or should i go for a doc?

sad... not a good feeling

soulz meter: sad... today: my usual groundhog day... fetching my wife and my girls after work... on the way to my in-laws place, turning into the small lane leading to carpark... as i was turning left, i stopped abruptly as i saw this girl lying on the middle of the lane!... how irresponsible is that family? whom walked past the girl and did not bother to 'teach' her... a second thought flew past... the girl did not move for a couple of seconds... the family that walked past her, turned back and was calling... time (less than a second) seems to freeze... that girl was MOTIONLESS... i knew for once that she was gone. i slowly drove past the 'small gap' between the two-way lanes and her... saw the pool of blood on right side of the lane and her right arm in red... i suddenly felt for her... the same feeling when my mum passed away... odd but really sad. a young life wasted... due to stress, pressure? from school, relationship, family or $$? that feeling still lingers as i...

Am I useless if I don't have a skill?

In year 2024, I will be half a century old. During 2014 when I am still 40 yo, I started doubting myself, my value, my worth to the society and to my company.  I kept asking what's the purpose of working so hard, what if my kids are all grown up, what's the purpose of living, etc. Thousand and one questions popped up every day, I am not even sure if that is mid life crisis or depression.  Surely suicidal is not my dictionary, that's coward way of facing what's ahead.  But nothing seems to motivate me.  I gotten through those 40 years fairly easily. Fast forward to 9 years more, I am still what I could have achieved at 40 years old.  Nothing major has changed except higher inflation, crazier world, the 2nd wave of generations coming to the workforce, the ever increasing workload, the higher humidity and temperature, etc. War between Ukraine and Russia doesn't seem to stop, US and China too.  Traditional skills or manual labor skills become obsolete but more ...
