the newer Bangkok,,,with JetStar Asia
i was in Bangkok from 21 Aug to 24 Aug 2006....flying thru Jet Star Asia... for a short 2hr30min flight... it's ok without food and drinks. just eat and pee before your board the plane.
stayed in Amari Watergate Hotel, thanks to my wife (her training), I got free lodging.

a good hotel, within the shopping district. should be a good spot to stay... full thumbs up :)
my last recollection of Bangkok was year 2001. within 5 years, MBK is not the number one shopping arena anymore. shopping centres and food centers (in shopping centers) are sprouting everywhere. they are so huge in size and experience that make our Suntec City or VivoCity (maybe) look liked 'peanuts'.... check out Siam Paragon and CentralWorld (not fully completed at the time i was there but it has opened).
